For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been thinking about getting myself a new host. After many discussions, I’m still not settled on whether or not to keep my community board, shabasheb.com. Regardless of the fact that it’s no longer as active as it used to in it’s glorious days, I don’t have any time to spend maintaining it anymore.
I believe that an experienced webmaster should always have a server to use whenever he requires to upload something, host a script, or at the very least, send an email through. With that in mind, I was thinking 100 MB was about enough for just that. After having a little talk with Moataz (FrontServers owner), he offered a package that is 100 MB and supports 1 addon domain – which I need for some specific reason – for 50 LE/year, which was pretty much exactly what I needed.
In a couple of hours offline, I set the blog up, and had everything ready for the domain to be bought. Oh yes, the domain. kamasheto or mahmoudsakr was quite a mind-tiring choice to make. I’ve wanted to get the mahmoudsakr domain for some time, and the fact that Google returned a 2,000+ resulsts per search on “kamasheto” was not helping what-so-ever. With the advice of a very close friend, I came to a final decision.
