I’m not sure this was because she was nervous of talking infront of a whole country, or not.

Our first presentation in Academic English was today (entitled: “how to land your dream job”). To tell the truth I wasn’t expecting any positive feedback at all (although I am pretty optimistic) – I was the introducer and I saw a guy laughing his rear off (apparently for how bad he was during his presentation), and I lost it from there onwards – I was extremely nervous (which thankfully none noticed) and went brief to let the other group members have their share =\
I’m not used to not having kids as audience! =\ CAT’s audience were far more grown up and extremely keen to listen, paying attention to what you’re saying and giving you positive feedback (emotionally) as you go along. But laughing during a presentation? :wtf: That was something I’m not used to I admit. Can’t stop thinking of how perfect it would have been if it wasn’t for seeing that jerk.
Anyway, after all the presentations were over I realised how good compared to everyone we seemed. Amr, Fady and Mohammed (my group) did exceptionally good, Mohammed out of all was an excellent presenter – should use that feature in our future presentations. In addition, a few other people were breath-taking with how natural they are when presenting, I could see extreme potential in those people. Our T.A. gave us feedback and to be honest, my heart was pounding like crazy with every feedback she was giving – I was so afraid to hear feedback from her especially that I was not sure yet if anybody had noticed how nervous I got =\ Thankfully, she said I was super and my introduction was unexpected and that the only comment she had on my part was that she needed to see more of me presenting :rawr: I’m not sure if it was me or was it obvious enough that I let out a breath of relief right there lol. I was nervous of not being up to the challenge on our first presentation, especially that lots of the guys are looking up to me all the time – which is hard to live with because then every action you make has to be well worth it, and well thought of =\ Man I’m too fast for that.
Anyways, when the class was over everyone agreed our presentation was the best (heh, the slide show they say rocked some rear), and that I was a hero
Looking forward for more presentations with those guys (although I noticed we needed more work done on the transitions – but that comes later). Like they always say, practice makes perfect.

I’ve been wanting to change my theme for quite some time now but haven’t had any free time to do so. I’ve been looking however at the themes available but nothing really grabbed my attention. Well, at least until this morning. I saw this theme and I absolutely could not not have it. I know it may look kiddish, but isn’t it just beautiful! It had to be something with plenty of colours because honestly, I was starting to lose my taste with colours (well, if I had any the first place) and something with lots of colours right there infront of me on a daily basis will certainly help!
If you don’t like this theme and would prefer the old theme I cooked a nifty trick to make themes changeable from user to user. Simply click this link to change back and this link to change forth again, to the new theme.
