Dear Diary,
I’ve been trying to tell you about recent updates for a couple of days now but I always, as usual, lost interest half way through. Anyway, there’s too much to not tell and I need to document certain things for later reference.
Wednesday 20th August, 2008.
I had an SM class that day. I woke up around 4ish a.m. and I couldn’t put myself back to sleep. I spoke with a couple of people that morning and started browsing around lazily. I went to the university with an excitingly different spirit than the one I had for the previous week or so. I met a person on my way in and we had a little chat (although I mixed him with someone else I know, luckily he didn’t notice.) I attended my SM class for the first time with a happy mood. =\ All went well that day, I had to spend the rest of the day on my own as usual because ma and sis weren’t coming until Thursday morning.

For quite some time now I’ve released the new version of the intranet, v3. It’s still a little buggy and I want to implement an AJAXed feature that should most definitely speed up loading time for users and reduce resource consumption for our server; anyway, that’s why it’s still in beta phase. I released it so that everyone could have a look and perhaps report any bugs or features they want to see in this version.

I knew I was coming back today for quite some time, but I wasn’t told we were going to travel back through Bahrain, a transit.
I don’t really like complications. I’d prefer one plane straight to Cairo and that’s that. Boarding in one plane for 30ish minutes, waiting for 3 hours in a lobby (2 down, 1 to go; as of 10:30 a.m.), then boarding in another plane for around two more hours isn’t just convenient for me. I don’t really complain though when it comes to mum saving some cash – especially on travelling expenses; we do travel a lot.
