A New Year Has Come — New Year Resolutions!

Funny all people chop down their new year resolutions on January 1st – or at least thereabouts. Why would people set themselves some goals just because someone, someplace, is celebrating an anniversary? Doesn’t make sense. Not a bit. For me, new year resolutions should be on your birthday. That’s when you should set yourself some goals! THAT’S when you can look back at your past and come up with ideas to make a better future. (Or at least that’s what I think.)

So yeah, since my birthday is today and all, I’ve arrived to my own new year resolutions! Here goes:

  • I want to not lose a single mark during my 6th semester (insh2alah!)
  • I want to work more, save more!
  • According to the previous, buy a bike!
  • During any week, I will not miss more than 7 prayers! (Less every month, we’ll see)
  • Be nice by default, mean if proven worthy — not the other way round as it is now
  • Try losing the morning temper quicker, never letting that ruin someone else’s day
  • Be readily available for help, even more
  • READ, at least one book every month!

Those are the ones I had ready, anything else that comes to mind I’ll chop down asap.

Before I leave I want to remind myself (and everyone else) (or… fine, just myself) with my last year resolutions and which ones I’ve accomplished and which ones I have failed

Here’s the list of things I want to change:

  • My physical appearance — unchanged
  • My time management! — 75% changed
  • The fact I don’t study much — 50% changed
  • Wear my seat belt — 100% changed! (Thank GOD I managed to change this one before it was too late!)
  • How I feel towards dentists — umm, pretty unchanged lol
  • My family relationships — abouts 50% changed
  • How often I smile — 80% changed
  • How I take care of duda — well, I stopped taking care of it at all so I’d say that’s a 100% change!
  • My mobile line’s package — done

The things I want to cherish:

  • My formal behaviour — somehow changed, not liking it the way it is atm
  • My relationship with my friends — pretty changed, and I’m thankful!
  • My understanding and affection to CS — pretty changed, to the better
  • The fact I keep on wanting to learn anything that seems undoable — after theory, definitely changed! lol
  • My driving skills! :D — lol

The things I need to destroy:

  • Envying! — destroyed!
  • Aggressiveness in general (driving in specific) — destroyed! (not entirely, but close enough)
  • My bad intentions — haven’t had one in some time, so yeah, destroyed
  • My laziness!!!!! — umm, still pretty lazy
  • The fact I spend LOTS of time merely refreshing a website! — other than fb, my mailbox, twitter, totally! (H) lol

The things I want to create:

  • Hsh-hsh! (It’s a project I’m working on) — nope, nowhere near close
  • Calling back friends — somehow, yes
  • Emailing the people I don’t see much — somehow
  • Learn Java, and ASP — learnt Java, learning ASP as I speak lol
